The title is intentionally stark. It is about absence of justice, so widespread, it must not be ignored. For evil to flourish it only requires good men to do nothing. It has been shown that those in positions of power claiming to be leaders, will follow the public lead if sufficient men, and, women speak out against injustices they witness. That is not because they were unaware, but fear for their own positions of power, coming from the people, who appointed them to serve, but then lose sight of that, afterwards, doing what is best for themselves. Leaders exist in many walks of life. None are perfect, but those claiming, they draw their authority, and, power not from the people, they are appointed to serve, but God, are especially dangerous. That is what this blogg is about. The Church of England, as the National church, has a duty to all the people of the land, to make available to them, the spiritual care, and, leadeship, they need, at all times not just baptism, wedding and funerals, but it is not doing that. It is withdrawing, it as it has been for many years, because its leaders have more interesting things to do, and, have been engaged in merging parishes, to save expenditure, also liquidating parish assets, seizing, and, then selling them, for the central coffers to build up the pension fund (it claims) the law requires. The excuse is shortage of applicants for training as Parish Priests. How is it the senior posts have not been reduced? Why were parish priests, the first to be made redundant? I believe from my experience there has been widespread abuse of power, and, perversity, taking advantage of the trust of people, of the parishes, and, fraudulent deception, in the interests of the betterment, of Winchester Diocesan Board of Finance which is in financial difficulties, having sold stolen parish property, and, mismanaging accounts. Accounts of Parish churches are under attack by an invented formula, making incresed demands on them, to pay quota to clear its debts.
If it were a business, which in reality it is, its directors would find themselves being investigated for unlawful trading, while bankrupt.
If the Bishops have anything to tell those they have deceived and abused. They are welcome to do so here. If others wish to comment they are also welcome. If enough respond we might begin a petition.
